2nd Annual Wabash Heritage Trail Marathon
The Planet Adventure 2nd Annual Heritage Trail Marathon will start and finish in historic Battle Ground Indiana. The (out and back) course will follow the Heritage Trail through and beyond Lafayette. The scenic route will take you through beautiful wooded and semi-urban areas as you run on all sorts of trail surfaces.

"On the Menu"
- Aid Stations will be positioned at 1.55 miles, 3.10 miles and 6.55 miles, pedestrian bridge 9 miles, 13.1 mile (since it's an out and back course these stations will be available again on the way back to the start).
- All aid stations will feature:
- Trail Mix
- "PA" Potatoes... salty
- Water
- HEED or equivalent electrolyte drinks
- Hammer Gel
- Post Race we'll have for you:
- Chocolate Milk
- Cookies
- Bananas
- Chips
- And more "PA" Potatoes....

Course
The course leaves Battle Ground, heading towards the Lafayette area on the Heritage Trail and then back to Battle Ground Indiana. The course follows the trail the entire way but exact distances are to be determined closer to the race day as they are continually adding and improving the trail. - Spectator information will be posted on the course information board at racer check in.
All Courses: The out and back course will take you along dirt trails with a likely shallow water crossing.
Marathon Course: You'll encounter some upgraded paved sections of trail through the Lafayette area, and then back onto dirt trails that may get a little sandy at times.
- Note: There will be a shoe/gear drop available for Marathon course runners only. This will be at the pedestrian bridge aid station.
Hills: Some rollers along the riverbanks but nothing major.
Divisions & Awards
Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female racers in each race. (there are no age group awards)
All racer will receive a unique finisher medal.
- Adult Age Group Divisions Male & Female (For scoring purposes only).
- 18-24 25-29
- 30-34 35-39
- 40-44 45-49
- 50-54 55-59
- 60-64 65-69
- 70+ Masters Division
- You will automatically be entered into the correct division based on your age.
Divisions will be added or deleted for each race depending on the total number of entries by age group.
